 The broker, Richard Holland, GRI, has been an instructor of Real Estate for 10 years at Davis and Elkins College. In addition to his years of experience in brokerage, he also has 30 years of experience in residential and commercial construction. Richard holds a GRI(Graduate of the Realtors Institute) designation. He received this designation after completing 90 hours of classroom instruction, covering subjects such as contract law, professional standards, sales and marketing, finance and risk reduction. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and a masters degree from West Virginia University. Richard is a past President of the Elkins-Randolph Board of Realtors, President of the Randolph County Landlords Association and past President of the West Virginia Landlord Association. He is a combat veteran of the Gulf War and retired at the rank of Colonel. Mr. Holland was awarded the Outstanding Businessman of the Year for Randolph County, by Beta Alpha Beta, honorary business fraternity at D&E College. His wife Marisia, a physician, and he have five children with his oldest attending the Univeristy of Virginia and his daughter attending Roanoke College.
